Toner Cartridge Recycling Can Bring In Money

Hey you! Over there, with the toner cartridge in your hand! Don’t throw that in the trash, there’s a better way! That’s not trash, that is money in your hands… make sure you recycle it through a toner cartridge recycling program!

Have you ever thoughtlessly tossed an empty printer cartridge into the trash? I know I have. The big problem is that millions of us do that every year, leading to almost 400 million of these cartridges being chucked into already overfilled landfills every year in the United States alone. Obviously, this is a bad practice and must be rectified. How could we possibly explain to our great-grandchildren that the reason they cannot drink clean drinking water or breathe healthy air is because we could no’t put our obviously recyclable products in a blue container?

Bringing back an old toner cartridge for recycle is not only essential for the health of our planet; it is easier than you think. Many outfits that stock printers, fax machines, and other office supplies also will take old printer cartridges and recycle them. Many places, especially online outfits, will offer you some cash for your recycling. Not bad, eh?

Printer manufacturers themselves are usually a bit stingier, but most of them do offer recycling programs, if not for cash. If you are interested in getting more involved in the new “green movement” and don’t know where to start, you could organize a recycling program for cartridges. It’s simple – just keep them together until you’re ready to recycle them all together. You may even make a little money at it, which is never a bad thing.

Every little bit helps. So the next time you hear that “skronk” of a printer noise, meaning you are out of toner, remember to consider the environment before you toss the cartridge into the trash. Us humans may only live 70 or 80 years, but our impact lasts far longer than that.
